This is the oldest parish activity established by the nuns: it was built in 1921 under the will of the priest, Father Alberto Marani, after whom it is named. Father Alberto dedicated himself to the education of children to help their parents working in the fields. His goals were mainly supporting families, welcoming them, looking after their moral and religious education, and the education of the person in all his entirety.
Since then this institution has always been able to adjust itself to the new needs up to nowadays, as it is acknowledged as a state-of-the-art institution for both the functionality of its building and its education proposal. Since September 1974, the Sisters of Mary Immaculate have provided their precious and unique effort to support the local parish, which is the managing authority, in the management of the school: they actively participate in education activities, according to the charism of their founder Father Domenico Masi.
The specific aim of the school “Don Alberto Marani” is the education of the child as a complete person, taking into consideration its individuality, uniqueness and entirety.
It is an educational institution that is deeply rooted in the values and the ideals of the Gospel proposed by the Magisterium of the Church and integrated in the gentle and strong pedagogy of the founder of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate, who was an experienced educator.
